Steel Shin Boots are a piece of heavy armor and part of the Steel Armor set found in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim.

They are identical in appearance to Imperial Boots, but have a higher armor rating and require slightly more crafting materials.

LocationsEdit

Steel Shin Boots will begin to appear throughout Skyrim at level 2. These locations include:

• Blacksmiths and General Goods Merchants.
• Found as random loot in chests or as a world item.

SmithingEdit

Steel Shin Boots require a Smithing level of 20 and the Steel Smithing perk to create. They can be forged at a blacksmith's forge with the following components:

• 2 × Leather Strips
• 3 × Steel Ingots
• 1 × Iron Ingot

They can be upgraded with a Steel Ingot at a workbench and also benefit from the Steel Smithing perk, which doubles the improvement.
