Stoking the Flames is a quest available in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim.

Quick walkthrough

1. Speak to Balimund
2. Acquire ten Fire Salts for Balimund
3. Give the Fire Salts to Balimund

Ways of obtaining Fire Salts

10 Fire Salts are need to complete this quest.

• Two Fire Salts can be found at Grave Concoctions in Falkreath.
• Two to four Fire Salts can usually be found after buying the alchemy decoration upgrades for any of the various houses.
• If a member of Dark Brotherhood, Fire Salts can be bought from Babette who constantly restocks on her Alchemy ingredients.
• Various Flame Atronachs can be found through the land, which is level-dependent, and each one may be looted for Fire Salts upon death.
• The Atronach Forge. Recipe: Salt Pile, Ruby, Soul Gem (any).
• Many Fire Salts can be found in Labyrinthian.
• Four or more Fire Salts can be found in Nightcaller Temple during the quest "Waking Nightmare".
• Five or more Fire Salts can be found going through Sunderstone Gorge.
• Five or more Fire salts can be found in the College of Winterhold.
• Three Fire Salts can be found on the shelf in Septimus Signus' Outpost.
•  PC  Console Command : The console command player.additem 0003AD5E 10 adds ten Fire Salts.
• They can be bought from various merchants.
• Four can be found in the Alchemy Lab in Hjerim.
