The armor consists of a blue sash that wraps around the quilted armor underneath, with leather belts fastening around the torso. Underneath the quilted leather is a layer of chainmail for extra protection.
- Several sets of both Stormcloak and Imperial Armor can be found during the quest "Unbound".
- One is granted at the beginning of the Stormcloak questline.
- They can be looted from Stormcloak soldiers or Hold Guards in Eastmarch.
- An abundance can be found at Fort Amol, where full sets of Stormcloak Armor can be looted from the dead soldiers there.
It can be upgraded with leather at a workbench, however it does not benefit from any Smithing perks. This means the armor cannot be improved past flawless quality without boosting the Smithing skill over 100. This can be achieved by using enchanted items and/or blacksmithing potions to fortify Smithing.
