Summon is a spell effect that belongs to the Conjuration school of magic. The spell summons a creature to serve as an ally for a period of time, after which the creature disappears. Summoned creatures are named [character name]'s [monster name] to distinguish it from other creatures.

Starting characters with Conjuration as a major skill get the Summon Skeleton spell. One can use Soul Trap on their own summoned creatures.

Note: Even as it is said that these creatures disappear immediately after their death, hitting the action key right after they die; e.g. striking them then immediately pressing the action key to enter their inventory, they can be used to dispense of material, or to take their weapon if they so possess one.
