Sun's Death, also known as The Year of Winter in Summer, was an event that took place after Red Mountain first erupted in 1E 668.[1] This event caused the sun to be blotted out by volcanic ash for an entire year, causing at least one plant life to adapt to not needing sunlight to survive. This may have been the cause for the decrease of the amount of Nirnroot by 4E 2.[2] The cause of the event is said to have been the fall of a god to earth.[1]

Trivia[]

  • "Sun's Death" is the Khajiiti name for the event while "The Year of Winter in Summer" is its Nordic counterpart.
