Sunhold is a city located along the southern coast of the Summerset Isles. The city is settled on its own island.[OOG 1] One of the city's most prominent citizen was Lathenil of Sunhold.

The city of Sunhold is located on its own island known as Sunhold Isle. The sea also has ports on the southern end.


Second EraEdit

During the Alliance War, the isle of Sunhold was captured by Maormeri forces, who were lead by Commander Rahoeri. The Aldmeri Dominion forces at the Harmonium Fortress were lead by Battlereeve Tariella. The Maormer were situated at the city of Sunhold and setted up siege weapons throughout the city. Supplies would come to the city via the southern docks. One of their tactics was to throw diseased corpses into the environment. They threw bodies in the Liriel River and the Orchestrated Gardens. The bodies in Liriel affected the Nereids in the area causing the Nereid Matriarch Theo to be driven mad. Queen Ayarene tasked the Numinous into sabotaging the Maormer Siege and riding Isque of the diseased.[OOG 1]

The Maormer in Sunhold captured Isque's Varla Stone and brought it to their stronghold. The Varla Stone is need to support the Altmer's endeavor in the battle. Later on, the Maormer stole the Altmer's Varla Lens. The Numinous ventured to find the Blessed Bell which is need to finally reclaim Sunhold and the stolen Varla Lens.[OOG 1]

Third EraEdit

During the Imperial Simulacrum, the Eternal Champion had at one point visited the city in their quest for a piece of the Staff of Chaos.



  • When Arena was going to be a tournament-based game, Sunhold's team was known as the Griffins.[OOG 2]
