Svargrim was a High King of Solitude, and the rest of the western portion of Skyrim, during the Second Era.[1][OOG 1]

Svargrim was a descendant of Svartr, the first ruler of West Skyrim after the Schism,[2] and Svargrim became king of West Skyrim in 2E 561.[OOG 1] Under his rule, West Skyrim was made up of the holds of Haafingar, Hjaalmarch, Falkreath, and Whiterun. The Eastern Reach was controlled by Reachmen, and the remaining holds were controlled by Jorunn the Skald-King of the Ebonheart Pact.[OOG 2]

Svargrim had forced the widower Jakolar out of Solitude, as he wanted to resurrect his deceased wife through unconventional and seemingly pointless means.[1] As of 2E 582, Svargrim showed signs of aging, though was still hale and showed no desire to give up the throne.[OOG 1]
