- The Calming Pants themselves provide a fortified personality, other than that, that have absolutely no known effect whatsoever, despite the unique Active Effect otherwise known as "Extreme Calm". The Effect may just be an Easter Egg. The quest-giver was correct in saying that the number one cause of death in a disaster or other some such event is panic. Panic leads to mistakes that get people killed more often than the natural or unnatural event itself.
