The reward is called "Prowler's profit" I got the reward the other day and i couldn't find any item or spell or buff on my character! if anyone can tell me what this is that would be great!

Does somebody want to console command all the stones to see what the reward is on a temporary save for the sake of adding it to the wiki? Just complete it, find the reward (money, dragon shout, loot, etc.) and delete the extra save and post the reward on the wiki with a photo of it in your inventory or something. Someone needs to add the alternate locations that people have found gems in that aren't part of that list... Because they aren't only those 24.. I can confirm Dushnikh Yal and Clan Shatter-Shield.. just wish I knew which ones I didn't find the gems in. (Where in Dushnikh Yal? I have been through the Longhouse, Cellar, Mine and the main outside camp and can find no trace of it. Currently 19/24 -RadHazG)

Adding confirmation of the Pinewatch Bandit's Sanctuary. Might want to clarify that it's not the "real" treasure room hinted at throughout the dungeon, its behind a locked door midway through, on a shelf to the right past the door. -RadHazG November 17, 2011

22 is confirmed. After entering the Sanctuary you walk through some bone chimes. You fight 3 bandits sitting at a table and walk up a ramp to the right. You fight 1 bandit in the next hallway which leads into a bigger room where the stairs you mentioned can be found. You then move up these stairs into a room with empty draugh tombs. Take a right turn here and you will be facing the door you spoke of. After lockpicking it the stone of barenziah is found on the top left shelve of the right closet.

Thank you for adding this to the "No Stone Unturned" page. Will help me find all locations better than the guide.

Anyone else getting an "Imperial Courier" showing up if you steal an Unusual Gem and show it to Maul right the first time you enter Riften? This seems to cause chaos in town - everyone starts fighting each other!

Thalmor Embassy StoneEdit

Uhmmm the page said you have to use a glitch or Whirlwind Sprint if you didn't get the gem during the Diplomatic Immunity quest.... but when I went back to the embassy I just walked right in. So I don't know if my game is just better than everyone else's or if its a mistake on the page.

No, not mistake. I have finished the whole quest chain and when trying to go in from front door it's locked with no key around. Going around from the cave with sprint shout worked for me, and there was 1 of the gems i needed. Zaflis ^(talk) 00:54, January 7, 2012 (UTC)

Ugh, the last one I had to get was in the Thalmor Embassy, and it is totally missing. :( I think its a bug. Any advice?

Whirlwind Spint did not work for me either but using a horse and jumping and jumping in did as this link shows

I had the same problem on the Thalmor Embassy stone. It turned out to be in the cave at the end of the mission, where the prisoner says the guards put dead bodies, in a small opening next to a dead necromancer. Yes, it is. It'll be in the same place as if you hadn't, just go grab it.

Stone in Dawnstar Sanctuary Edit

After "To Kill an Empire" and fully upgrading(in one visit to Delvin) the Dawnstar sanctuary I've found a stone on the dresser in the master bedroom twice, on PC.

So I picked up about 5 of the stones before getting them appraised. Now that I do they are all stacked and I can not drop them at all, or remove them from my inventory.

Hi, the stones are considered a quest item, as you have gotten them appraised by Vex, this starts a quest to collect all 24 of the stones. They cannot be dropped at all, the only way to remove them is to find all 24 of the stones, and the Crown of Barenziah for the Thieves Guild. Cpt. Carebear ^(talk) 02:39, February 21, 2012 (UTC)

Tolvald's Crossing glitch? Edit

So, after picking up all the stones, and getting the retrieve the crown part of the quest I hoofed off to Tolvald's Cave. Fought through everything, got to Tolvald's Crossing, and ... the part where I go forward on the right path to get the crown is blocked off... I believe this is a glitch, but I'm not sure how to get around the problem... any ideas?

I am having this problem as well. Not sure what to do about this. Went through all the trouble of finding the stones, now I can't get the crown.

Stacking Glitch Edit

Ummm I have a glitch where the Stones of Barenziah are not stacking in my inventory anymore. I have 8 Stones in total and only 6 of those are stacked but the remaining 2 are in their own spots in my inventory. I think it has to do with them getting appraised since I had the first 6 before I went to Vex to start the No Stone Unturned quest and I found the other 2 on seperate occasions after getting the quest. Can't find Stone in Dark Brotherhood Sanctuary Edit

Where exactly is the stone in the Dark Brotherhood Sanctuary near Falkreath? I'm currently in the Dark Brotherhood Sanctuary (I'm on the "Destroy the Dark Brotherhood quest) and I can't figure out which room is Astrid's. I don't see a stone anywhere in the whole complex. Found it! It's in the very first room on the left as you enter. There's a person sitting in there other than Astrid, which is why you might not think it's her room. The real question is:

Is it worth it?

They look pretty where they are originally located and if there's no great benefit (buff or costume) why bother? Can you wear the Crown like that silly but powerful diadem from the Sheogorath DLC in Oblivion?

Does it do anything other than look pretty in the thieves' sewer? Yes I know it says it grants a buff but I see folks saying it doesn't show up anyway (like Esbern's potion).

How to tell which stones already got without revisiting every place Edit

I have 22 stones so far but, while I can remember some of the places I've been to, I cannot remember them all, so is there a way to use the console (or whatever) to see which stones I already have (via their IDs or whatever)? I'd also like to at least be able to drop the stones while I'm still looking for them all so I can recover the 10 pounds (whatever) weight. -Eep 12:47, September 11, 2012 (UTC)

STONES'S EXPLOIT

OK im going to explain how this worked for me, since the page dosent says much about. The glich dosnt give you unlimited stones from a single location, but after some try and error trials i think i come up whit the mecanics which i going to explain here:

Aparently someone said that ypu will recive unlimited stones, thats not true. what happens is that the quest update is slow enough for you to cheat it whit several clicks on the stone thus the quest mark 2, 3 or even 4 "phantom" stones while you recive really only 1 in your misc menu, resulting in an exelent shortcut for this quest.

Im going to explain in steps so you my fellow gamers can have a peaace of mind:

1.- make sure you are mmember of the guild.

2.- pick ONE stone, and take it to Vex.

3.- once the quest starts to count the stones obtained i.e (1/24)

4.- go to the next location, save before you approach the stone, and then when pick it up storm the botom.

You will recieve 1 stone in your inventory, as i said, but the quest will mark 2 or 3 stones if did right, if only mark 1 reload and repeat.
