Unable to finish totems quest bugEdit

I have picked up two statues but all I recieve in the way of quests now are 'Animal extermination', so I can't finish the statues of Hircene. Any remedies? 194.80.178.253 17:25, December 3, 2011 (UTC)

did you marry aela? because that is a cause as when i reloaded an old save where i didn't marry her, i got the totem quests easy. 86.179.16.150 00:52, December 4, 2011 (UTC)

Managed to finally get it, after 4 Animal exterminations and more, then going off for a few days and just not doing the companions quests the coming back and completing Purity with Farkas I recieved it from her. 194.80.178.253 05:50, December 4, 2011 (UTC)

I believe the gaining the totems quest may be tied to the amount of times you have used beast form. to test this I saved a game fast traveled to whiterun and talked to aela and she only offered me a extermination quest after I reloaded the save I used the ing of hircine and the wait command to transform a few times and then fast traveled and talked to aela again and at that point she offered me the last totem of hircine quest. So transforming back and forth a set amount of times may be a pre condition to receiving these quests.50.71.45.244 09:50, December 21, 2011 (UTC)

Not likely, only used Beast Form twice before getting all the Totems. I had to do 2 extermination quests before the second totem retrieval, and 3 before the last one. I think when Aela asks is just random, and you happened to get lucky. LeatherNeck2382 ^(talk) 17:08, December 21, 2011 (UTC)

No, i married Aela and had this problem until i told her to move back to her house (jorvaskar) then i asked and i got the quest Widdy13 ^(talk) 06:54, October 12, 2012 (UTC)

so long story short.

aela is dead

she died during the last companions quest

how do i get hte totems of hircine?
