"This is an ode to Skyrim's truest sons and daughters: the Stormcloaks."
―Bards of Skyrim

The Age of Oppression is known to be sung by almost every bard in Skyrim. It's a pro-Stormcloak song that is typically sung in Stormcloak controlled cities.

The Age of Oppression and The Age of Aggression are variants of one song. It isn't known which of the two was written first but the tune, with loyalty appropriate lyrics, is quite popular on both sides of the war.[1]

Homesteads

With the addition of Hearthfire, The Age of Oppression and The Age of Aggression can both be requested in some Homesteads. This is in Heljarchen Hall by Oriella and in Lakeview Manor by Llewellyn the Nightingale, however, not in Windstad Manor.

Lyrics

We drink to our youth, for the days come and gone.
For the age of oppression is now nearly done.
We'll drive out the Empire from this land that we own.
With our blood and our steel we'll take back our home.

All hail to Ulfric! You are the High King!
In your great honor we drink and we sing.
We're the children of Skyrim, and we fight all our lives.
And when Sovngarde beckons, every one of us dies!
But this land is ours and we'll see it wiped clean.
Of the scourge that has sullied our hopes and our dreams!

All hail to Ulfric! You are the High King!
In your great honor we drink and we sing.
We're the children of Skyrim, and we fight all our lives.
And when Sovngarde beckons, every one of us dies!

We drink to our youth, to the days come and gone.
For the age of oppression is now nearly done.
