The Culling was a prophecy which Lord Naarifin attempted to fulfill during the Great War between the Third Aldmeri Dominion and the Third Empire, in order to give the Dominion a major advantage during the war.[1] The prophecy demanded sacrifices in order to unleash hordes of Daedra upon Tamriel. Naarifin re-opened Imperial City Arena as a way to gain sacrifices, while at the same time, entertaining the people of the Imperial City. The prophecy was later prevented by the Forgotten Hero, and Naarifin was slain.[1]
