The Dream of the Hist is a quest available in The Elder Scrolls Online. Vicecanon Heita-Meen asks the Vestige to retrieve the Mnemic Egg from Ruuvitar, the architect of the Dominion invasion in Shadowfen.

Walkthrough
This quest is much easier if the Vestige obtains all 3 keystones of earlier quests in the region.
However, if the Vestige did not obtain the keystones, the quest can be still completed, albeit taking longer.
There is a keystone holder before the fight with Ruuvitar, which frees prisoners, cancelling his buff.
There is another keystone holder in the hist room (Hist Vision Room) with the nine plumes.
The plume puzzle
To complete this puzzle, the Vestige needs to get rid of all nine plumes. The puzzle works by clicking the plumes to toggle each one and its adjacent neighbor (top, bottom, left, and right) so that they are all gone.
For example, clicking the center plume will turn it and the middle ones off on the four sides as well.
The Hist Brothers
The trick to this quest is remembering history of the events in the region leading up to this final quest.
- A skin-stealer posed as Vicecanon Hrondar, against his will.
- Vicecanon Servyna tried to save the eggs, not destroy them.
- Ruuvitar boiled the Hist sap. The Dremora was his prisoner.
