Walkthrough[]

After completing "Northpoint in Peril," speak with Skordo the Knife. He will tell you that the plan is to sneak in slowly and get the lay of the land; they are still going through with disguising themselves as Montclair's men. Skordo will tell you to head ahead through the secret tunnel into Northpoint. The tunnel will be in the area under the lighthouse. On your way there, you may notice the lorebook House Ravenwatch Proclamation lying on the ground next to a backpack, so be sure to pick that up. Either way, head into the alcove and through the trap door into the tunnel. The tunnel will lead you into the lighthouse; in the room just ahead, you will find another lorebook, Northpoint: An Assessment. As you head out of the building, Skordo will come behind you and announce that he is coming with you.

Head into the city and start looking for a safe location to gather up. Skordo will suggest you use one of the houses. The nearest house, Innkeep Ballik's house, isn't big enough, so look on. The safe space you are looking for is Chirane Manor, in the center of town, northwest of the statue. After Skordo has confirmed that the place is clear of enemies, speak to him and he will tell you to go look for the rest of the assault team. They will be in various locations throughout the city. Baron Alard Dorell will be in the building northeast of Davynu's workshop, Countess Eselde Tamrith will be behind the buildings in the west of town and Darien Gautier will be in the graveyard in the southeast of town. The moment you reach Darien, you will be set upon by enemies; while you are fighting, Darien will tell you that he found the innkeeper before he died, and was handed the keys to the inn with the man suggesting something important was there.

Once you have gathered up your crew, head back to Chirane Manor. Everyone will be talking about what is going on; when they are done, talk to Skordo. Skordo will mention that Baron Dorell found in his son's journal that his son probably holds some responsibility for Lady Lleraya Montclair's succesful invasion of the city. He also mentions that Countess Tamrith heard voices coming from the inn. When you tell him that Darien has the key, he will tell you to investigate. Head upstairs to get the key. Darien was heavily wounded by the bloodfiends and thinks he has been bitten, so you should speak to Countess Tamrith instead. She got the key off Darien when bandaging him up, and will give it to you.

Now that you have the key, head for The Sloshing Tankard. Baron Dorell will be coming with you. Once you are in the inn, you will find loads of Montclair's soldiers inside. Head upstairs; the moment you try to open the attic door, you will find it locked, and someone from the other side will tell you to go away. Baron Dorell will assure the person that you are a friend, and he will come out. The person is Blademaster Qariar, an old friend of the baron. He will inform the baron that his son is not here; talk to Qariar yourself and he will tell you about what happened here; Lleraya gathered a meeting in the town square after sealing up the city and then cast some sort of spell turning many of the citizens into bloodfiends. Qariar will also tell you that Lleraya is holed up in Dorell Manor, alongside Lord Ellic Dorell. He will give you the key to said manor so that you can infiltrate it and take out Lleraya.

The manor is in the southeast of town. Head in and look for Ellic. He will be in the throne room, sitting on his father's throne. He will not be hostile; talk to him and it will become apparent that he has been placed under some kind of spell by Lady Lleraya. He will tell you that she is upstairs, so you should head there and you will find her sitting on the bed. She will try to seduce you and place you under her spell; to this effect she will invite you to head downstairs and dance with her. On your way downstairs, you will see visions of Count Verandis Ravenwatch telling you to break free of her spell. He will tell you that Lleraya has cast an illusion just like in the Lorkrata Hills, and that you should look for imperfections in her veil. He will direct you to the basement, where you will find a tear in the veil. Use it, and the illusion will break. Head back upstairs and you will find a hostile Lleraya in the main hall. Once you've killed her, an apparition of Count Verandis will appear; speak with him and he will tell you that unlike in Lokrata, you did not break the illucion, but rather you entered an illusion where Lleraya was hiding herself. He will also tell you that you and your troops should go meet him at The Doomcrag to finish all of this.

Once you are done talking to Verandis, the illusion will fade and Ellic Dorell and the other nobles will reappear. Speak with Ellic and he will say that he and his people will head outside and try to make sure the city will now be safe from these bloodfiends. Head outside and you will see a scene of Lord Dorell arresting his son and proclaiming that Ellic is dead to him. Speak with Baron Dorell when they are done talking to finish the quest and start the next one, "Puzzle of the Pass."
