Walkthrough[]
Upon completing Into the Woods and siding with Faraniel, she will tell you that you will need to perform a deed of honour before her clan will be willing to trust you. She will not discuss details with Tzik'nith standing nearby, so she tells you to meet her at the bridge. Head east to the bridge and speak with her there. She will tell you that to get an audience, you will have to kill the lamias, burn their eggs and kill their champion. If you do not want to do these things, you can persuade her so that you just have to kill the champion.

If you did persuade her, head south towards the Lamia camp. Their champion Muiriana the Dark will be in a cave at the highest point. Kill her, and Faraniel will tell you to head back to the camp where Captain Alphaury was killed. Head north to that camp, which is just across the bridge where you met up with Faraniel. Several of Faraniel's clansmen will be here. Speak with Faraniel and she will tell you to talk to these bosmer while she brings the head of the Lamia champion to the council leading her tribe.
The bosmer will give you insights in how to deal with the council members. for Elder Inril, you should listen to her and speak only when spoken to. With Elder Gluin, you should not take no for an answer. Elder Elsaril should be shown compassion and you should crack a joke with Elder Erthor. After speaking to all the bosmer about the elders, Faraniel will come back and tell you that the council has agreed to a meeting. After talking to her, head through the portal behind her to the council. Speak to them. It is important that you pick the correct dialogue choices here.
The right dialogue choices for the elders:
- "I'm so sorry, but I've seen the daedric anchors. Thousands have already died. You must believe me."
- "My lady, Coldharbour's chains rip through Nirn. Valenwook will be destroyed unless we do something."
- "Lose the attitude and listen well. I've seen the anchors. They're destroying Nirn!"
- "I see how well that's worked out so far. What's a few hundred years when you're having fun, right?"
After convincing the elders, head back through the portal and speak with Faraniel. After talking to her, Elder Erthor will appear. Speak with him and he will tell you that the elders have decided to turn on Molag Bal, and that he has sent runners to open the tower where King Laloriaran Dynar is being held. He will also send soldiers to aid in the battle against Molag Bal. Speak with Faraniel again to tell her the good news, then head northwest for the tower. The entrance is just southwest of the Moonless Walk Wayshrine. In there, you will hear King Dynar's voice tell you to grab the crystal that is hidden among some roots. Grab it, then head up the stairs and talk to the king's projection to finish the quest and start the next one, Light from the Darkness.
