i need help last week a had done everyting in skyrim and everything in solthsteim uncovered the whole map in both skyrim and solthsteim became thane of all holds did all daedric quests got all the dragon priests masks even the ones from solthsteim and when i was about to finally about to do the dawnguard quest line i was exiting severin manor with serana and the game just kept going on an infinite loading screen forcing me to delete the save and start a new game from scratch despite it was a new copy no scratches and yet after doing everything in skyrim can someone please tell me a way of avoiding the infinite loading screen before i just give up on skyrim all together
Sometimes, when a game gets more content it has to remember, it takes longer to load, i had all the fall out three DLC's and that increased loading time a bit. Im afraid the best you can do it reload, you shouldnt have to restart the entire game, just go to the last save and hope you dont freeze.
You know, come to think of it I might remember that once I had exited specifically Severin Manor and was met with an unending loading screen. I managed to troubleshot it by just reloading the save prior to going in the manor. Solved the issue a little better than deleting the entire character.
I have this issue sometimes. (It seems to be a common bug with Bethesda games. It's happened in Oblivion, Fallout 3, New Vegas, and now Skyrim.) If it happens you can try a few things before starting up a whole new game.
Anyway, the trick I've learned is a bit lengthy, but seems to work. If the game is installed to your Xbox, uninstall it. Then delete the Xbox's system cache (Directions to do that here: Link ). Now reinstall the game to your hard drive. Turn off the Xbox, wait a few minutes then turn it back on. Load up Skyrim. Download the patches again. Lastly load up your save.
If that doesn't work, perform the Black Sacrement and get Dark Brotherhood assassin to smash your Xbox.
Guyz if you can goto a save but everytime you exit a place or fast travel...
then just load a save that has the least mods needed to load and try to load it with NO mods activated or installed... after you've done this and the save has loaded, create another save (make sure there are no mods activated) then reactivate or re-install all the mods you previosly had...this is an extremely easy way to fix this problem and is easier then completely restarting all of you progress, so try it =D
It could be due to problems with your computer, is it low on Hard Drive space? Do you have a lot of mods downloaded? If so, the computer may be having a hard time processing or remembering all of the information.
