Looking back... I haven't seen an actual toilet in all of skyrim. Just buckets!
The bucket is the toilet and the window is the plumbing.
Toilet mod don't be silly... of course there is.
We get giant attacks at all three of our manors.
I think lakeview is the most dangerous one yet looks good. Ive had wolf attacks, bears, bandits, giants, skeevers
dragons, and a necromancer behind the house.
I think Lakeview is the best, despite it having the most dangerous territory, due to its proximity to two smiths*, two traders, two lumber mills (one of which you can get free lumber from), and a fence**. Sure, you can fast travel to smiths, traders and fences, but it's nice to not have to.
Morthal doesn't have a smith, so that's one less trader to sell loot to. Plus it's a MUCH longer commute between the Homestead and the Capital/Town.
I'm yet to build the Homestead in Dawnstar.
that's because attacks only occur on the homesteads in the hearthfire DLC
as for the question, i get lakeview as a home, and winstand as a kind of hideout for my mage characters
