I'm curious as to which side I should take while doing this quest as both have merits and demerits; when I first did this quest I sided with Madanach to help me escape but I felt bad because they killed some citizens on the way out and also because I didn't like the forsworn, I had always considered them "Bandits with a cause" until recently.
Whereas when I sided with SIlver-Blood and killed Madanach I felt like I had just let Silver-Blood go unpunished for his manipulations.
So what do you think? Which is the best side?
But recently I have started to see the forsworn in somewhat of a more positive light, I had always considered them as savages that needed to be put down but now I realise that they are simply people with a different culture who lost their homes in conquest and when they ruled the reach they had actually done a good job so perhaps they are not that bad after all.
I also want the SIlver-Blood family to be punished because they have a monopoly on Markarth's economy and they manipulate and bully their way into power, like how they send mercs to the privatley owned mine to bully the owner's into selling it to the silver-bloods.
For example if I hand the Reach over to the Stormcloaks during Season Unending the eldest Silver-blood brother is installed as Jarl and if I side with the imperials and take it back he is imprisoned in Windhelm, thus getting rid of one of them; then if I let Madanach escape and kill the other brother on the way out I have just destroyed the silver-blood family and released Markarth from their vice-like grip but at the same time I have let Madanach escape to take full command of the forsworn who plague the Reach and kill any who are not them.
