i started two new characters this past week, one pre install of the Dragon-riding DLC the other after, both are 1.9~version and the exploit still works... though i did find something 'interesting'
on my Elf, the one i made before i put in the DLC, i managed to do a Fortify Restoration chain off of a set i'd previously made ~38%, only took me four Restorations to get this spot i could work with, as five resulted in having a negative number which is not fun in this 'fix' exploit thing, made my Fortify Enchanting and made my Alchemist's Ring, it has 8 digits and i make anything with it i can go from 15 Alchemy all the way to 100 instantly, this is a way to exploit the hell out the Legendary system and get a ton of points, i would not recommend to someone that doesn't effectively make themselves in invincible as anything and everything will outclass you long before you can level any combat skills up... but i like having this ring just for the random incident i want another point...
with my Khajit-remake character (my primary is always a Khajit and sadly this file for some reason overrode my original one when i made it) and i'm trying to go from a set with 13% Fortify Restoration to that 'sweet spot', i've gotten it to the point where i'm somewhat stuck... its a lengthy chain (9-10) but what's annoying is that if i go to 9 i end up with a ring that only gets me maybe 30lvls per pop... if i go 10 that apparently hits it 'over the limit' and i try making anything with it and i get 0% potions for everything... the odd part is i've done this same chain like 20 times in 20 different ways fiddling with it and all i've realized is 'less is more', i attempted to bring the final digit 'down' with the 10, only resulting in a HIGHER number, plus its annoying as its a jumble of 11 digits... i may like to push the limits and exploit the heck outta stuff like this when i find them (finding their limits is about as fun as just playing the game :P) but that's rediculous... the annoying part is that between the 9-10 chain there's a HUGE jump for some reason in digits... it goes from a measly 4 digit number boost on my set to a redicious 9 digit... there's like, no sense made... there must be a negative number floating around the equation, if i want to think of this in legitimate math so its interesting enough...
moral of the story, probably best to either start high with a low chain or... just stick to a low chain and try to mod as you can XD though on an interesting note, using the 'uber' ones to make Fortify Enchaniting potions seems to result in a 'down' chain, as each enchant lowers the next ones value significantly... definitely a negative number somewhere in the processing...
just thought i'd share, as yes, this thing still works, and it is finicky as hell XD
