I don't know if this is supposed to happen, but it's seriously hindered the roleplay aspects of my character. I play a high elf mage, I recently made her, since It is my first mage playthrough. The vampire playthrough has a lot of magical oppurtunities, mainly the Ring of Erudite. Which I kinda need. I spend a lot of time looking at my character's faces. And the vampire royally screws all my hard work up. You get like this line down from your nose, your skin is gaunt and pale, you are given bloody red lipstick, and overall I dislike it. The only thing I like is the eyes. I've never played the Dawnguard side (I'm leaving that for my orc) but I like the vampire side. I need the ring of erudite, but I am at a stalemate because appearance is very important to me. Is there any way to combat this? I use Xbox 360.
"I don't know if this will help but there's a guy in riften that can change your appearance for 1000 gold"
yeah, cure your vampirism. xD
The xbox 360 has no console command and cannot be modded, those were the only two solutions to your problem.
With dawnguard it's either ugly vampires or no vampires, so get the magic ring then cure your self.
Just go to the face changer before getting your vampirism and make the face in a way such that when you become a vampire, the slimming of the face just counters the extra baby fat you add on. So, when doing character creation, make your character's face fatter and do change the complexion and mouth/jaw here and there, after selecting your fave preset.
I went to the face changer at riften with a vampire breton guy, now he has great complexion as a vampire, no vampire features and only the eyes.
I have a vampire altmer that looks EXACTLY like an average altmer save the eyes.
My female vampire mage profile looks fine too, she dosen't have the line, the creepy lipstick (she has pink lipstick) and she has great skin (its nice, fair and smooth). In fact, I kinda screwed around with character creation too much with her, now she looks quite bad, but she looked pretty ok before I decided to see every possible face, eyes and screw up royally (before any comments, lets just say I did actually measure the ratio of her features to make them good, the only problem is her eye shape, which is hard to get right)
Remember, you have to cure the vampirism before going to the face changer
I play on console, so no mods were used. You just have to be good at the character creation process and understand it well enough to compensate, thats why I always plan my characters out before I play, so I can save on cash.
If you are willing to crack that 360, you can mod the game.
I had this problem to... but i Installed a mod that changed the Apearence of vampires so they dont look so damn ugly, i cannot recall the name though, but if you are on a PC and not a CONSOLE, you can search the Nexus
Becoming a vampire sucks you become ugly and displeasing but there is one race that dose not look teribal as a vampire providing you create them well and thats orc its the onky race that i have found that only get the red eyes and black lips and if you have the second
Last face paint on your carector they actully look bad ass but orcs not good for magic but the first ever orc vampire mage wounds cool
