Synopsis:
It is a little while after the defeat of Alduin; Miraak got impaled on a tentacle, Harkon has a crossbow bolt through his head, and the Stormcloak Rebellion was at a standstill after the Peace Conference of High Hrothgar. A group was hired by Fernar Adryvu, the extremely wealthly Count of Cheydinhal to preform the heist of the era. The group proceeded to Dawnstar from the Imperial City to converse with Mehrunes Dagon at his shrine there, as they wish to know the location of an Oblivion Gate containing a Daedric Siege Crawler. Dagon told them to go to Cloud Ruler Temple, however the manner of how he did so was suspicious. When the group woke up after making camp for the night at the foot of the mountain containing Dagon's shrine, they were attacked by Penitius Oculatus agents. After the defeating the agents the group proceeded to Cloud Ruler Temple. Upon their investigation of the Temple's main wing an Oblivion Gate appeared, which they entered. Upon entrance they saw the Crawler and divided into two groups, one group to retrieve the Sigil Stone, the other to commandeer the Crawler. Shortly after their arrival Dagon claimed that he had closed the gate and that he wanted to watch them all die for his enjoyment. However the group was successful in both tasks and successfully stole the Siege Crawler. They delivered the Crawler to the cavern Curvos said was the drop off point, but upon arrival Curvos and Rolaf betrayed them stating Fernar wanted them all killed. A swarm of Cheydinhal guards attacked the group, but our heros were victorious and, although after much confusion and anguish, they headed for the Temple of the Ancestor Moths and planned their next move against Fernar and Curvos. The group learned that the Stormcloak Rebellion had began to start up again and decided that the person who would most want to attack the Imperial City would be Ulfric Stormcloak himself. However, after arriving in Windhelm itself, Ulfric stated he had no troops to spare, as he was moving on Whiterun. Ulfric gave them coin and information, telling the group that General Tullius in Solitude would most likely give them assistance. So the group headed for the capital of Skyrim. As they were camping in the marshes north of Morthal, Dark Brotherhood assassins attacked them, at the behest of Curvos. Through knowledge gained from the Dark Brotherhood's Listener, the group learned that Curvos had killed Fernar and established himself as the Lord Regent of the Imperial City. The group defeated the Dark Brotherhood assassins, killing all but one, a Khajiit named J'Baad, who they interrogated and took with them. Upon arriving in Solitude, the group noticed that the entire garrison was mobilizing, and began to wonder what other chaos was spreading as they set up shop in the Winking Skeever. The group was in Solitude to meet with General Tullius to ask for support for retaking the Imperial City. Tullius said he would only promise support if they someone disabled the Forsworn. The group decided it would be a good idea to do as Tullius said and headed for Markarth, although picking up a new member, Rihannon, along the way. Taking shelter from a violent thunder storm in a cave, the group currently waits for the storm to blow over.
