Its been another week of editing here, and we have some news for you all. Remember to let us know what you think, cant be heard if you don't take part.
- A few weeks ago we brought up a thread discussing a new system that would allow guest and editors to rate articles. This would allow us some insight into how our article are viewed, and allow us to focus our work. However, views where mixed and the topic died out, so for the time being we will disregard this idea, and perhaps review it at another time.
- We have some articles nominated for good and featured status, please take the time to vote on these articles, as well as assure that they are all in good standards.
- Back during an early moot, those present agreed that we should add a new board to the forums meant for editors to each admins. We finally set it up and can be accessed in the forums. While chat and talk pages are still the fastest methods, we think this can still be of use.
- Another old item the wiki discussed that we are working on (and by we, I mean Cörey) is a bot. After the old admins left, we lost the bots they operated. Corey was kind enough to help us set one up, however was delayed by the real world distracting him. The bot will be used for odd jobs as needed that would be tedious for editors to handle on their own, giving them more time to handle other matters.
- I want to take the time to make something clear. While the bot is cool, it is not a toy to be abused and spammed. Any misuse of the bot will be handled with a kick or a block as need be. Please be respectful of it.
- Jarjarkine applied to be admin last week, and we are glad to say his application was approved. Jarjarkine has helped this wiki in many ways, and hopes that he can put his skills to more use with the admin tools.
- We had another application this week, this one for chat mod. We are hoping to end it soon, so please vote and tell us how you feel about Fghfghfgh510 becoming a chat mod
- Madman released his first interview, and has made it his own. He interviewed both of our new chat mods, and did so in the style of a talk show. Please read it next chance you get, the link is here in highlighted link
Moot
- We agreed to add a scroll box the the Moot page, then we will archive it periodically.
- For security, highly important templates will be locked to admin only, and all popular ones from anons. If you do edit a template, please list the reason why in your summary so we know what the change is and why.
- We are going to attempt to add a new award system, giving special notice to editors who add to the wiki. The topic grew, and we are going to bring this to a CT level, expect to see it soon.
- We are also going to add a new badge for MOTM winners, we may discuss new badges later, but for now its just this one.
- We discussed the moots time, and felt that the current time works long term for most people in the community, we are open to discussion should this change.
- We discussed lifting the ban on referring to the playing during walkthroughs. When editing a quest walk-through, you can refer to the player as "you", as well as the current "player" "the hero" ect. 5-1-1
- We have adapted the MOTM nomination policy. From now on, no MOTM nominations can be made until the 12th.
- We lifted the personal image ban from three to five. This means you can have up to three images added to the wiki for your own use on your profile. These can be used to show off your hero, or whatever items you wish as long as they stay within wiki policy. We have the right to delete and remove any of these images if need be.
That is it. Please ask us anything, that what we are here for. Thanks, and happy editing.Cheatcodechamp (talk) 02:04, September 13, 2015 (UTC)
