  • I have often thought about Cyrodiil and the Alliance War. I know that Talos will build the Septim Empire in the future, but I wonder about what the three alliances would do to Cyrodiil. Hear is what I have come up with:

    1. The Ebonheart Pact would recreate the Empire as just the government of Cyrodiil rather than the government of Tamriel. They would disband the Aldmeri Dominion (but allow the Altmer, Bosmer and Khajiit to live in their lands) and ignore the Daggerfall Convenant. Expect huge Nordic and Dunmer empires after this victory.

    2. The Aldmeri Dominion would create two Empires, a new Ayleid Empire controlling rebuilt and repopulated Ayleid ruins and possibly the Imperial City, and a puppet Imperial (human) Empire ruling over the rest of Cyrodiil. They would try and ally with the Daggerfall Covenant and disband the Ebonheart Pact (but allow the Nords and Dunmer to keep their lands). Expect restored elven empires throughout Tamriel and the Covenant races joining the Dominion after this victory.

    3. The Daggerfall Covenant would restore the Empire as a body of stability for Tamriel, but create an Ayleid Empire in the southern half of Cyrodiil allied to them in order to balance the two races (Imperial and Ayleid) of Cyrodiil out. They would leave both the Dominion and the Pact alone, although they might try and civilize the Bosmer and ally with the Altmer, Nords and Dunmer. Expect a rebuilt Empire and a peaceful and wealthy Tamriel after this victory.

    • They only have a few hundred years, the Alliance War starts about 2E 580 and Tiber Septim took Cyrodiil 2E 854.

    • AzuraKnight, I am starting this thread for people to talk about what would happen if any of the alliances won.

In all the endings, I never talked about Argonians, because in all the endings they get enslaved!

    • I think differently but good ideas

Pact: empire is re-established with empereor being a nord or dunmer in political marriage to imperial noble. All pact provinces are part of the empire but have more freedom and can more or less govern themselves. The Argonians aren't enslaved but mostly keep to themselves within Black Marsh. Covenant is broken up, High Rock and Hammerfell enter the empire, Orsinium is sacked and Dunmer enslave many orcs. Dominion is also broken up, Valenwood and Summerset are left more or less alone while elsweyr is regularly raided by the Dunmer for slaves.

Dominion: empire is re-established with Altmer in charge. Standard cities are still used although some aylied ruins are remade as holy sites or military outposts. Parts of Blackwood including Leyawiin becomes part of elsweyr. Pact and Covenant broken up. High Rock also ends up divided into smaller warring kingdoms again. Morrowind becomes part of empire although with quite a bit of freedom. Orcs and Argonians no longer considered intelligent species. This leads to Orsinium being sacked by Bretons and Redguards while Dunmer raid Black Marsh for slaves. Eventually High Rock and Hammerfell is made part of the empire although some areas occasionally rebel. Skyrim left mostly alone as they see the nords as "beyond civilizing"

Covenant: empire is remade much like how it was in the past. Empereor is a Breton in political marriage to an imperial noble. Several holds of Skyrim are entered into the empire and the Orcs of Wrothgar are left more or less alone. Eventually the Pact collapses with Dunmer raiding Black Marsh again and all of Skyrim now part of Empire. Empire is at a truce with Morrowind so as to not piss off the tribunal and Black Marsh is ignored. Dominion resists the mostly human Empire and they remain at war. Emphasis on trade.

    • Also you seem to forget that the Aylieds are extinct. So why are they mentioned as a race for the covenant?
