Yeah. My first character was an Orc that wore heavy armour, and she never had any issue sneaking in Heavy.
Of course, I personally believe that "Orcish Sneaking" involves casting Muffle and charging the enemy with a Mace and Shield. 😈
When I saw "Wind Walker" in Light Armour, I thought I'd give using light armour a go. I love using Power Bash, so I run out of Stamina all the time, and then I don't have any to run down archers/mages and to club them like a Baby Horker.
Problem is, now I'm the one getting clubbed. Granted my character is level 10, but I'm needing to carefully consider each battle and to take out some of the extras with Archery before I engage. Which is dampening my fun.
Maybe I just need to realise that Heavy Armour my not have perks that are as fun or interesting as Light Armour, but it's solid and reliable and it suits my play style, and maybe I'll have to reconsider my ban on magic to get the Restoration perk that regents Stamina as well as Health.
I'm trying to not do any Magic, Smithing, Alchemy, nor Enchanting with this character. But every time I recharge my mace with a soul gem my Enchanting goes up (I hit level 30 in no time 😳). And if I ever want to build a Homestead (which, I kinda do), I know my smithing will likewise hit level 30.
I got the blessing from the Tower Stone just so I could reduce how much my Lockpicking skill increases from opening chests.
I know at some point I'll start encountering enemies that will require pimped out armour and that will require Smithing and Enchanting. But right now I don't want to be entering a dungeon with 90 skill points in crafting skills bloating my level and making the game think that I'm more hard-core than I actually am.
