  • I'd like to report what happened to me about 10 minutes ago, i was raiding Ilinalta's Deep as part of The Black Star quest and then i bumped (figuratively speaking of course since i'm a mage) with an Ascendant Necromancer in a corridor and they're F*@#ing powerful so i thought: how the F*@# am i going to kill him (who i discovered that was actually a woman when i killed her) then i opened the favorites tab (i'm playing on PS3) and thought: well, if it is a necromancer it has frost spells, so i'll use a Frost Atronach, and selected that spell, then i thought: i'll need a better defense, so i equipped the Stoneflesh in the other hand, then i resumed the game, used Stoneflesh and equipped my Blades Sword, conjured the Frost Atronach and waited, looking for a Paralysis Poison, which i noticed i didn't have so i used a Lingering Damage Magicka Poison along with my non-upgraded Glass Bow (i didn't even choose the first overdraw perk yet so it causes 29 of damage along with my Orcish arrows) and then i ran up to her with my Blades Sword and attacked her from behind while the Frost Atronach distracted her, and at last killed her, it felt awesome cause i thought she would be impossible to kill since i'm at level 28 and playing on Expert difficulty

    • And it was awesome because in the next room there was another Ascendant Necromancer with some Skeletons and i used the same strategy and it worked again!

    • I just finished the same quest. I'm also on Expert difficulty and only a level 21 warrior so I thought I was screwed. Just used the old Unrelenting force then repeated power attacks technique which has served me well with other characters and killed him before he got up.
