Topal Island (also called Topal Isle) is an island found in the eastern part of Topal Bay, near the mouth of the Niben River.[1][2] It is part of either Cyrodiil or Black Marsh,[3][4] and has been near a number of interesting events due to its location.[5] The island has a tropical climate, and a volcano on the northern side takes up half of the island's area.[6]

History[]

Eroded ruins of Xanmeer structures dot the island, suggesting that there was once an ancient Argonian civilization that inhabited it. The Grand Topal Hideaway was later constructed at some point, serving as a remote headquarters for criminal organizations.[6] Though the volcano erupted on a few occasions, the Hideaway has remained unharmed.[5] Around 2E 582, the correspondence of the island was handled by a Senchal attorney under the then owner's orders, for privacy reasons.[5] By 3E 433, Topal Island was considered within the borders of Cyrodiil.[3]

Description[]

Geography[]

The southern side of the island is a shallow sandy beach, and the northern side is a large active volcano. Both sides are separated by a tropical forest filled with tall trees.

Climate[]

The island has a tropical climate and clear weather and is warmed by the active volcano.

Trivia[]

  • Grand Topal Hideaway on Topal Island is based on a number of Carribean islands that once served as a secret headquarters of a criminal organization, most notable of those being the Norman's Cay island.
