The Torc of Labyrinthian is a miscellaneous item in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim used to unlock Labyrinthian in the quest, "The Staff of Magnus".

AcquisitionEdit

After the death of Arch-Mage Savos Aren, Mirabelle Ervine gives the Dragonborn the item. Before his death, Savos Aren provided her with the object, saying to give it to whomever she thought appropriate at the time.

The Dragonborn will be required to travel to Labrynthian and use the Torc of Labrynthian on a door named Ceremonial Door. This gives the Dragonborn access to the Labrynthian to acquire the Staff of Magnus for Staff of Magnus quest.

You may pickpocket the Torc from Mirabelle but it will not open the ceremonial door thus still making it impossible to save her.
