Torygg's War Horn is a quest item available in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim.

Its appearance is that of a hollowed-out tusk adorned with decorative steel casings—the motif being similar to that found on steel weaponry.

LocationEdit

The horn is obtained from Elisif the Fair after completing the quest "The Man Who Cried Wolf"; alternatively, it can be pickpocketed from her. She asks the Dragonborn to take the horn and place it upon the Shrine of Talos, located north east of Whiterun, at the base of a small mountain to the west of Fellglow Keep; it's fairly closer to the Shimmermist Cave. The Shrine is located southeast of the cave.

TriviaEdit

  • Upon completion of the quest, the horn is no longer marked as a quest item so it may freely be picked up and dropped.
  • There may be a goat standing at the shrine and, upon looting, may hold two amethysts.
  • Torygg's War Horn has the same appearance as the Nord War Horn.

BugsEdit

This section contains bugs related to Torygg's War Horn. Before adding a bug to this list, consider the following:

  1. Please reload an old save to confirm if the bug is still happening.
  2. If the bug is still occurring, please post the bug report with the appropriate system template  360  / XB1  ,  PS3  / PS4  ,  PC  / MAC  , depending on which platform(s) the bug has been encountered on.
  3. Be descriptive when listing the bug and fixes, but avoid having conversations in the description and/or using first-person-anecdotes: such discussions belong on the appropriate forum board.
  •  PS3   360   Although there are several locations for the Shrine of Talos, the horn may only be dropped at the location above, northeast of Whiterun (the location is randomly generated.)

There is another one that won't allow you to finish the quest, because the correct dialogue doesn't show up when speaking to jarl Elisif.
