Totem to Peryite is an unmarked location found in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim.

Description

West of Karthwasten and below the ridge where the Shrine to Peryite is located, is an alcove with a totem to Peryite. The totem is a pillar with dragons on it. These same totems are abundant at Peryite's cult of Afflicted based at Bthardamz.

History

The totem appears to have been used as an altar and has several offerings on it. Slumped across it is a dead female Wood Elf. Across from her is a pile of bloody bones, most likely left by the wolf who has made the alcove his den. It is unknown if these people were worshipers of Peryite or merely prey caught by the wolf.

Trivia

  • This location has been called "Romeo and Juliet Alcove" due to the two people dead along side poison and a dagger. This also fits due to the "A plague on both your houses" quote from the play, as Peryite is the Daedric Prince of plagues and pestilence.
  • This location is called "Totem to the Dragon" in the official Skyrim game guide by Prima (map marker 5.L). In the guide's description they do not mention that one aspect of Peryite is the Dragon.
