Summon Unstable Familiar is a Sorcerer active skill in the Daedric Summoning skill line in The Elder Scrolls Online.

Description[]

  • Summons a familiar to attack enemies. Toggle to activate. Reduces Max magicka by 10%. (I)
  • Summons a familiar to attack enemies. Familiar deals 5% additional damage. Toggle to activate. Reduces max magicka by 10%. (II)
  • Summons a familiar to attack enemies. Familiar deals 10% additional damage. Toggle to activate. Reduces max magicka by 10%. (III)
  • Summons a familiar to attack enemies. Familiar deals 15% additional damage. Toggle to activate. Reduces max magicka by 10%. (IV)

Summon Unstable Clannfear[]

  • Update 6: The unstable familiar (as well as the pets from the morphs of this ability) will no longer taunt monsters if the summoning player character is the only one on the hate list for that monster.[1]
  • Update 7: Sorcerer pets now benefit from critical strike buffs added to the caster after they are summoned.[2]
  • Update 7: All Sorcerer pets now have the correct area of effect damage reduction. Previously, some reductions were not applying in combat.[2]
  • Update 7: Sorcerer pets now take 50% less damage from other player characters (this does not stack with their area of effect reduction as noted above).[2]
  • Update 7: The Volatile Familiar, Unstable Familiar, and Unstable Clannfear can no longer be dispelled by abilities such as Negate Magic.[2]
  • Update 9: This pet's special ability will now heal you and the Clannfear for 35% of your maximum Health.

Note that this pet will no longer heal you when it dies.[3]

  • Update 9: This ability and its morphs are no longer toggle abilities; instead, they are now normal casted abilities.[3]
  • Update 9: The first activation will summon your pet, and when morphed, the second activation will cast the pet's special ability.[3]
  • Update 9: Note that the pet will still be desummoned if you switch ability bars without slotting it.[3]
  • Update 9: Decreased the cost to summon a pet from this ability and its morphs by 50%.[3]
  • Update 9: Increased the cast time to summon the pet to 1.5 seconds from 1.3 seconds.[3]
  • Update 9: The pet summoned by this ability and its morphs now heals itself for 3% of its maximum Health every two seconds.[3]
  • Update 9: Added the word "Summon" to the name of this ability and its morphs so it now reads "Summon Unstable Familiar."[3]

Summon Volatile Familiar[]

  • Update 2: This ability's tooltip now mentions it also explodes when unsummoned.[4]
  • Update 4: Fixed an issue where this ability was exploding twice; the damage has been set back to 20% of casters maximum magicka.[5]

Updates[]

  • Update 2: In Update 2, several changes were made to the Daedric Summoning skill tree, and its skills. These include:
    • Your pets will now stealth with you when you initially crouch.
    • Your pets can now be given a target to attack.
    • Your pets will no longer agro other enemies while you are mounted.[4]
  • Update 3: As of Update 3, The Familiar that you summon is now considered a Daedra, and can be affected by all Fighters Guild abilities.[6]
  • Update 3: Fixed an issue where summoning an Unstable Familiar or Winged Twilight would cause them to pop into incorrect locations when canceling crouch.[6]
  • Update 3: Fixed an issue where your Unstable Familiar or Winged Twilight would run back to you in slow motion when recalled.[6]
  • Update 5: Unstable Familiar II: Fixed an issue where this ability wasn't dealing the correct amount of bonus damage.[7]
