Non-fixed bugs:Edit

  1. The book Trials of St. Alessia inside The Katariah in the first room on the right as you enter, can fall through the base of the lowest book shelf. This causes it to be only 20% visible and 80% inside the floor.
  2. The river next to Warmaiden’s inside Whiterun, often doesn’t render right. The flowing stream turns into a flat one colored monstrosity.
  3. The Quest marker is bugged inside the College of Winterhold. If the target is in the arcanaeum, you’ll be send through the Arch-Mage’s Quarters even though there is a direct door on the opposite of the door to the quarters. Also happens when you want to leave. The door directly to the arcanaeum from inside the College of Winterhold isn’t used by the quest marker.
  4. Torches multiply (Xbox 360): It's possible for torches to multiply inside the players backpack. I began with two torches picked up (with none in my bag at that time) and ended up, several days later, with 8 torches in my backpack, even though i hadn't picked up any other torches
  5. Random Inventory Jumping (XBox360): When depositing items from your inventory into a container, or selling to a merchant, the menu is inconsistant in what happens once afterwards. Sometimes the above item is selected, other times the item below is selected. This can even occur when attempting to deposit small numbers of stacked items, ie. selling 5 apples individually may result in the menu jumping to the item above once the first two have been sold so you inadventantly sell or deposit the wrong item.
  6. (Xbox 360) Forelhost Crypt traps: Several of the traps located inside Forelhost Crypts which have pressure plates, still go off even though i have the ability Light Foot, which should prevent that.
  7. (Xbox 360) Frightened Woman: I'm really far ingame, completed the whole main quest and a lot of side quests. But there's a Frightened woman right next to Pelagia Farm. She just stands there doing nothing and isn't "frightened at all". She just says "Huh?" and "need something?". She doesn't move and you can't talk with her. I’ve been told that you helped her by telling her where the nearest town is, but I’ve never seen her before or helped her. Even though, she should get another name after you helped her, she can’t be frightened forever.
  8. (Xbox 360) Stormcloak camp!?: There is a new stormcloak camp in between Pelagia Farm and Honningbrew Meadery. I've competed the main quest line and the imperial side of the rebellion. The camp is empty, except for one Stormcloak soldier, who i friendly to me (even though i choose the side of the empire). The soldier just stands there, bended over a map saying "I will kill the next imperial i see". Is this still here as a leftover of the Battle of Whiterun?
    • Commentary: It is possible that is because some of the stormcloaks are hard-coded as being unkillable. Thus, with the war over, they would be "at peace" with the Empire.
  9. (Xbox 360) Draugr spawning at your place: For some weird reason, everytime i fast travel to somewhere and my horse get's spawned next to me (So not in several capital cities), two draugr corpses spawn right underneath my horse. I looted the corpses, and now they stay empty, so it's always the same two.
  10. (Xbox 360) Receiving books twice: I was doing the quest The Lost expedition in Nchuand-Zel. But every book (except spell tomes) i found, i got it twice. So 2x Alethius's Notes, 2x Erj's Notes, 2x Krag's Journal and 2x Stromm's Diary.
  11. It’s possible for Hajvarr-Ironhand to respawn. I killed him early ingame and went back a long while later, only to see that he still lives!?
    • Suggestion: Because he has that unique item (Ironhand Gauntlets) he is considered to be an Essential Character?
  12. (Xbox 360) Skeleton stuck in wall: It is possible for one of the enemy skeletons to become stuck inside a wall outside Fort Snowhawk. It'll be completely stuck inside, so the player can't see it. But the red dot points there, he can be heard making the "skeleton sounds" and my horse tries to attack it, running against the wall all the time.
  13. (Xbox 360) Quest Family Heirloom: The quest Family Heirloom is being offered by Skjor instead of Vilkas, even though he should be dead. (Completed the companion quest line)
  14. (Xbox 360) Corpses showing up in towns: Sometimes, after being killed by the player or other npc's, the corpse of a npc remains in front of the jarls house in a town. For example the beheaded corpse of Laelette the Vampire lies in front of Highmoon Hall in Morthal after being killed during the quest Laid to Rest and Ranmir can be found dead outside Jarl's Longhouse in Winterhold after being killed by a Magic Anomaly during the College of Winterhold quest Containment. The guards and villagers will say something like, "hé, what happened here?", everytime they see the corpse.
  15. (Xbox 360) Trollsbane: Trollsbane doesn't spawn, nor does the corpse of Frofnir Trollsbane. So the unique weapon is now unobtainable. Update: It appears to be part of a bigger problem. The corpse of Rundi also didn't appear. A lot of corpses which should be there are not. But only the corpses at unmarked locations. This could turn out to be problematic instead of minor.
  16. The quest marker around Jorrvaskr is bugged. The quest marker always points you to the back door of jorrvaskr, if you’re inside or outside, it doesn’t matter. The quest markers will not let you use the front door.
    • I've had this bug, myself.
  17. It's possible that Lod and Mathies from falkreath spawn dead. They aren't killed by a dragon or by something other, but just spawn that way. They were fine when i entered the jarls longhouse. After a conversation with the jarl i walked out of the house. Now, lod spawned dead infront of his house, and Mathies spawned dead in the bushes next to his farm. This way, i can't become Thane of Falkreath, because i can't sell the cabbages to Mathies because of his death, and can't sell firewood to Hern at Half-Moon Mill because he was killed during a dark brotherhood quest. So this way, I'm stuck at 2/3 people assisted.
  18. The misc objective “speak to Greta about going to the Temple of Divines” stays in the quest log. I already talked to her, but it hasn’t been removed.
  19. The misc objective “return to esbern” stays in the quest log. Even though i have already done that.
  20. Several quest items stay in your inventory as quest items, so cannot be removed. But the quests are completed. This happens with Finn’s Lute, Pantea’s Flute, Rjorn’s Drum, Runed Lexicon, Gallus's Encoded Journal and Gorm's Letter.
  21. Some dragon corpses still do not give souls and still do not clean up properly.
  22. The Ancient Traveler’s Skull respawns. So now It’s not unique anymore.
  23. Bards College: Viarmo: After complete Tending the Flames Viarmo will never put his torch away he will for ever hold it. A workaround this is killing Pantea Ateia, either by your own weapons or casting Fury to make the town kill her (using the console does not work). You may resurrect her afterward.
  24. Inside Whiterun: Whenever inside Whiterun, Farkas will run up to you and start a random conversation, When you escape or stop talking to him, He follows you and starts another conversation with you, this loops over and over again untill you leave whiterun or can get far away enough from farkas to where he won't follow you
  25. There are several enemy Penitus Oculatus Agents inside the tower connecting to the bridge in the middle of Solitude. These agents are there after completing the dark brotherhood quest to poison the emperor. But even if they are killed, they'll respawn. The game counts them as enemies, and they say things like "Ha, found you", but they will not attack. Killing them doesn't result in a bounty.
  26. Two alik’r warriors stand in Whiterun doing nothing. They won’t leave. Normally they should leave after completing In My Time of Need, but they don’t.
    • Comment: This has happened to me as well. Maybe if they stand at the entrance to the city long enough, they will spot the lady that never leaves the inn!
  27. Some legendary or unique weapons dissapear from the vendor’s sell list after being sold, quicker then normal. Some stay on there for years ingame. Example: the Staff of Jyrik Gauldurson dissappears after a day, so i can’t get it back, and Balbus’s Fork stays there forever, as does the blade of woe. The eye of melka also disappeared really quickly.
    • Suggestion: Don't sell them. (Also, possible explanation: other people will "buy" certain legendary/unique weapons more quickly?
  28. Some quest items aren’t removed from the inventory after completing the quest. They aren’t quest items anymore but it’s weird because the npc wanted it, and you brought it to him, and he thanked you for it, but you can keep it!? Happened with Queen Freydis’s Sword and Fine-Cut Void Salts.
  29. Staff of Arcane Authority 2x: After i stole the weapon for Malur Seloth in Winterhold, i could pickpocket it of of him. But there also lies a Staff of Arcane Authority in the room of Nelecar for me to steal, so now i have it twice.
  30. I have obtained the blade of Winterhold several times. I talked several times to Kraldar about how i helped his people and obtained the blade of winterhold everytime.
  31. I obtained Savior’s Hide and the Ring of Hircine through the glitch. What’s even more weird is that Sinding (the one you have to kill to get the ring of hircine) respawned and is still friendly to me. He even helped me killing the bears inside the grotto.
  32. In Kagrenzel, i dropped down in the big hole. But one of the jars lying on the ground hit my head. That was an instant kill, even though i wear Legendary daedric armor and my heavy armor perk is 100.
  33. Sometimes it isn’t murky under water but as clear as it is above water. This also happens when your head is half above and half under water.
  34. Also found Skjor "walking" around with Aela the Huntress and Njada Stonearm. They were being attacked by a mammoth just south of Bonestrewn Crest (Dragon lair). He was walking without a animation and only his upper body was above the ground (the rest was in it), but a long, long, long time after he died. When i talked to him, he didn't responded and kept walking, unlike aela and njada. (Xbox 360)
  35. Waking Nightmare is uncompleteable. When entering Nightcaller Temple, Erandur disappeared.
    • On PC: Go back outside, then go back in. He (should) follow you inside this time. (This worked for me ~Tim)
  36. The Book Lumdrenn Tenvanni's Journal is called Tenvanni (with an N) ingame, even though it's House Telvanni (with an L).
    • This has happened a few times with other games in the series. Its a minor typo :)
  37. "Find the Thalmor Assassin" misc quest is bugged. The khajiit caravan is not there. J'datharr is there but he only says "move on, friend. I have nothing to sell today". Fix: Getting caught pickpocketing gets him to turn on you, so you can kill him without getting a bounty.
  38. A Ruined Book next to Maluril's Journal inside Mzinchaleft is counted as stealing "instead" of "taking".
    • Commentary: Maybe he really likes owning Ruined Books?
  39. The perk "Dragon Infusion" given by Esbern's Potion doesn't show up in the active effects list.
  40. "Bring a Dragon Scale and a Dragon Bone to Esbern" may not disappear from the Miscellaneous Quest list when you have delivered them.
  41. I bought the house in Markarth, and became thane, but never got Argis the Bulwark as my housecarl.
  42. The quest "Enchanting Pick-Up" given by Sergius Turrianus can lead to Dorian inside the Red Wave. But there is no option to ask him about the item you need to pick up, he only says "You're not supposed to be in here". The quest becomes uncompleteable.
  43. The Letter from Calcemo is wrongly spelled. His name is Calcelmo, with an extra L.
  44. Even though the forsworn inside Druadach redoubt are friendly to me, they still attack my horse and my horse attacks them.
  45. Ghorza gra-Bagol has been killed by the Markarth city guards. I pickpocketed her at night and she caught me. Off course she became hostile. Instead of the normal way (the guard runs up to you saying "by order of the Jarl, stop right there"), they attacked and killed Ghorza. Weird.
  46. Octieve San has been killed by an unknown source. I walked in Solitude right next to th entrance and then i heard a sword slash and saw Octieve lying there, dead.
  47. Odfel has been killed inside Redbelly Mine by the spiders who somehow respawned, even though i had cleared the mine for the quest.
  48. I could also complete the quest to clear Redbelly Mine twice, and recieve twice the gold.
  49. I cannot report Leifnarr's death to his family. The option to tell them doesn't come up. So i cannot complete the quest.
  50. There's a thief inside Riften Catacombs. He just runs back and forth doing nothing. I know thiefs may spawn in Riften, being killed by guards. But this thief will not get killed because there are no guards in the catacombs and doesn't leave. He will stay there forever.
  51. The corpses of Ulfric Stormcloack and Galmar Stone-Fist never dissappear from next to the throne in Windhelm.
  52. There appears to be a bug when you accept Vilkas's Purity quest before Farkas. The quest status will switch to the Completed even though you haven't completed it. Also Vilkas will not follow you to Ysgramor's Tomb.
  53. At Ancient's Ascent, Shearpoint and Bleak Falls Barrow, even when i've obtained the word for the Dragon Shout, the music of a dragon shout wordwall nearby keeps playing when i'm near. Also the sound of the player absorbing the word plays when really near. The music never stops playing there.
  54. The miscellaneous quest "Kill the bandit leader located at Uttering Hills Camp", given by Kjar in Windhelm, is bugged. After completing the quest Summerset Shadows, the quest marker leads to Linwe's empty room, without a bandit leader.
  55. During the quest Purity, sometimes after activating the Flame of the Harbinger you will still have the same number of Witch Heads as before. So i had all three With Heads like i had before starting the quest Purity for both Vilkas and Farkas.
  56. Ranmir died during the quest Containment, so the quest Drowned Sorrows cannot be completed. Also, the quest-markers on your map did not show up, and the quest did not appear anywhere in the journal.
  57. A lot of times, butterflies are sitting in the middle of the air.
  58. Acolyte Jenssen, Ahlam, and Nazeem carry a Key to Wintersand Manor. But there is no Wintersand Manor ingame.
  59. The misc objective Collect bounty from Brina Merilis stays in the quest log, even though i already completed the quest.
  60. The Above misc objective:"Collect bounty from Brina Merilis" has multiplied itself inside the quest log, after patch 1.8 was installed.
  61. The Ebony Blade is a two-handed weapon (and levels up the two-handed skill) but benefits from One-Handed damage effects, enchantments, potions instead of the ones for Two-Handed weapons. It also benefits from the one-handed perks Armsman, Fighting Stance and Bladesman.
  62. The White phial item, when empty and put into a chest, it'll refill, but the empty White Phial will also stay in the chest. So afterwards you'll have a empty and full white phial in the same chest at the same time.
  63. The question: Who's in charge of Whiterun?" which the player can ask to Ulfberth War-Bear stays light grey, as if it has never been asked before, no matter how many times the question has been asked.
  64. During the quest Ancient Technology, the questmarker will point towards Stony Creek Cave instead of Kagrenzel. Even inside Kagrenzel, the questmarker will point to the outside.
  65. During the quest Cleansing Light, the Blooded Vampire inside Bloodlet Throne, which stands to the left of the master vampire (quest objective) is not aggressive. I've killed the master vampire and she still is friendly.
  66. The last picture in the book Katria's Journal is what looks like a placeholder for a picture. It has a background of six different bright, horizontal, bars. On it, it says img: in big black letters.
  67. The Aethius Crown does not work. If the first standing stone is the Steed stone, and then the player chooses the Mage stone, the steed stones effects will still disappear.
  68. The quiver of bolts is quite visibly hovering away from the character in third person view.
  69. Character may go completely invisible in first person view (no weapon or shield visible).
  70. After the battle at Castle Volkihar at the Dawnguard side, an armored troll and shadowmere keep standing outside the castle. When i teleport somewhere, shadowmere is replaced by another horse, but can later still be found at castle volkihar. The armored troll cannot be interacted with and just stands there.
  71. Destruction Ritual Spell: The location indicators do not appear on the Map or HUD.
  72. NPCs Travel With Your Character Through Doors (PC,PS3, Xbox 360) : Noticed only in towns, though it may occur outside of towns. If an NPC is talking to you, even in a passing moment, entering or exiting through a door will cause the NPC to travel with you through the door and appear at your side.
  73. After Dawnguard is installed, i encountered Babette in a random encounter, but after that she disappeared. She doesn't ever return to Dawnstar Sanctuary and cannot be encountered in a random encounter again. The highest Alchemy trainer disappeared forever.
  74. When mudcrabs are in their hiding stance (half in the ground), if killed in one blow, they will fall through the ground.
  75. If a dragon dies in front of Lakeview Manor, the corpse can fall through the floor.
  76. Cating salmon doesn't give any salmon meat anymore. This is only since Hearthfire.
  77. The quest Rescue was started by just talking to my wife inside my house, Proudspire Manor. The quest target pointing to a vampire which needs to be killed, let to the place of a Bandit Leader and there was no vampire around.
  78. Speaking to the Housecarl Lydia, inside Breezehome, starts the quest Rescue, calling the Dragonborn "My Love". The game sees here as my wife, even though i'm married to Jordis the Sword-Maiden and i just rescued her in the Rescue quest before this one.
  79. Inside the walls of Fort Amol are two chests right next to the Forge which are standing half in eachother. There's also a alchemy table standing in the middle of a Workbench. The Shrine to Julianos, which should be near the alchemy lab is nowhere to be found.
  80. If you pay a steward to furnish the Entry Room the option to funish it stays there. If chosen again, he says "I'm sorry, but you can't affort that right now". This bug causes the steward to not furnish anything in the house anymore. Even if the other options are already payed for, he/she'll stop furnishing the house. Leaving you with an empty house and empty pockets.
  81. Sometimes when using the Carpenter's workbench in/outside your home it may revert to a menu of items you've already built in the room, essentially wasting your supplies. To correct this exit the menu and re-enter it, it should correct the problem.
  82. Since Hearthfire is installed, several items can be found scattered across the floor in Windhelm. In the grey quarter lie several flower baskets on the floor and in front of the meat stall on the market lie several pieces of meat. The stall is full, so these items didn't fell from the stall.
  83. De beehive inside the greenhouse is buggy and can only be seen from certain places. If you stand on another place, the beehive will "dissappear".
  84. Requested Report misses the second page. Now the letter stops in the middle of a sentence.
  85. Urag gro-Shub may send the Dragonborn during the quest Fetch me that Book! to an already cleared dungeon that doesn't respawn, for example: Lost Valkygg. This makes the quest uncompletealbe.
  86. Its possible for the statue of Clavicus Vile, found inside Haemar's Shame, to completely disappear.
  87. All three moonstone ores inside Lost Prospect Mine cannot be mined.
  88. The body of Lucky Lorenz doesn't spawn. And so, Treasure Map IX cannot be obtained.
  89. Its possible that when entering Severin Manor in Raven Rock, the house hasn't rendered right and you immediately fall through the floor.
  90. Dragonborn lags a lot. It also crashed two times.
  91. I got in an infinite loading screen when exciting Lakeview Manor after Dragonborn was installed.
  92. The book Chimarvamidium stays in my inventory as a quest item. But every other Chimarvamidium i pick up, also becomes a quest item. Getting more and more Chimarvamidiums stuck in my inventory.
  93. Poison Blooms inside Darkfall Passage respawn but cannot be picked up again. They just explode without damaging the Dragonborn, or giving the option to be picked up.
  94. If i enter Blackreach with any of the lifts, the lift brings me down and goes to a load screen...however once i reach Blackreach, my screen fades to black then comes back, and fades to black again, and it does this infinitely without letting me move or open a menu or anything.

Fixed Bugs:Edit

  1. Backwards flying dragon.
  2. Several misc objectives which stayed in my quest log after completion.
  3. magic resistances were not calculating properly
  4. The Thieves Guild quest line cannot be completed. The quest Dampened Spirits deleted itself from the quest log and now i’m stuck.
  5. The Blood on the Ice quest cannot be started. So i cannot obtain the house of Windhelm.
  6. The misc objective Speak to the Jarl of Riften cannot be completed. When you talk to her, she doesn’t respond.
  7. (Xbox 360, last patch): Game and Xbox Freeze: For some weird reason, everytime I try to enter Hag Rock Redoubt, my game freezes during the loading screen while entering it and then my xbox doesn't do anything until I reboot it. I'm trying to get in there for the quest Family Heirloom, and I didn't have any problems with entering Hag Rock Redoubt before accepting that quest. (additional info: I got this quest from Skjor, who should be dead. I completed the companion quest line and he should be dead but isn't. He's alive and well and offering this quest instead of Vilkas. Maybe that has something to do with the above crash)
  8. (Xbox 360) Nirnroot light not fading away: Never had this before the last patch. Since the last patch, every time i pick up a nirnroot, the light around it doesn't fade away. It just stays there.
  9. The Repairing the Phial quest doesn't start, because the courier which should deliver the letter never arrives.
  10. Darkwater Pass (Xbox 360): Darkwater Pass stays undiscovered on the map, even though i cleared it twice. It also says cleared on the map, but teleporting there isn't possible because it's still "undiscovered".
  11. Sometimes, Lycanthropy is permanent. I had several times that i changed into a werewolf, only to be stuck as werewolf.
  12. Louis Letrush: At some point three Louis Letrush characters spawn in Whiterun, one of which is stuck in the ground with half of his body showing. Two of them appear to be talking to each other.
  13. Wood Chopping doesn’t work right when a npc is doing it. When a npc chops wood, the pieces of chopped wood stick to his/her hands and axe. A weird looking bug.
