Hi everyone, I realize there's already a blog on how to extract audio files. But I'd like to share a method which I personally found a lot easier.

    • The Skyrim Creation Kit, which is free if you own Skyrim on Steam.
    • A BSA Unpacker.
    • The Yakitori Audio Converter

    • Start the Creation Kit.
    • Select 'File' and 'Data...'.
    • Double click 'Skyrim.esm', 'Dawnguard.esm', 'Dragonborn.esm' or 'HearthFires.esm'. Select 'Set as Active File' when wanting to open a DLC .esm file.

Let's say I'm looking for a piece of dialogue said by Ulfric. In this case, I want the specific piece of dialogue "We're ready to march on Solitude, but the Emperor's cousin is getting married!". In comparison to the Oblivion Construction Set, it's a lot easier to find.

    • Select 'Edit' and 'Find Text'…

So today I was looking through the Oblivion Construction Set for NPC dialogue files, when I stumbled upon something peculiar. I found a piece of dialogue that every NPC has, but it's only said by Thadon in the Shivering Isles expansion. I found it rather odd that every NPC has this, as it's a rather specific piece of dialogue. The dialogue goes as follows; "You. Of course. Sheogorath's Assassin." This is said by Thadon in the The Roots of Madness quest, but every voice actor has done this line. Here are a few examples:

    Altmer, Bosmer and Dunmer male:

    • Get the Oblivion Construction Set
    • Get a BSA Unpacker

    • Start the Construction Set.
    • Select 'File' and 'Data...'
    • Double click 'Oblivion.esm', 'DLCShiveringIsles.esp' or 'Knights.esp'. It depends on the audio you're looking for. With the DLC, however, don't forget to select Set as Active File in the bottom left of the Data screen.

Note: Importing the data may take a while, give it some time.

Alright, let's say I'm looking for dialogue from an Oblivion character named 'Pinarus Inventius' His article says he's an Imperial, so that's where we'll be looking first.

    • Select 'Actor', 'NPC' and 'Imperial'.
    • Select 'Imper…
