While I am stuck between twiddling my thumbs for Dawnguard, studying for my mid year exams and procrastinating, I realised that something about The Elder Scrolls confused me.
I am curious as to why Mephala was chosen as the object of worship for the assassin's guild Morag Tong, as opposed to Boethia. To me, it seems like Boethia is the far more ideal candidate.
I'll use their descriptions to illustrate my point, as quoted straight from this wiki (which is quoted straight from The Book of Daedra):
"Mephala, whose sphere is obscured to mortals; known by the names Webspinner, Spinner, and Spider; whose only consistent theme seems to be interference in the affairs of mortals for her amusement."
