Some surprising rumors have been made about the next DLC for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. It appears that one such assertion may carry some weight. Bethesda Forum user Mardoxx has declared that the next DLC will take place in the island of Solstheim, previously featured in The Elder Scrolls III: Bloodmoon, and among other things will include the ability to ride a dragon. This postulation is corroborated by source codes found within the new 1.8 Beta.
These source codes also point to the DLC being titled "Dragonborn". This is substantiated by the fact that Bethesda has filed a trademark for Dragonborn just as it did for Dawnguard and Hearthfire before it. After a LONG wait Bethesda announced the patch will be heading to PS3, with content from the 1.6 patch folded in. Playstation will finally gain access to mounted combat as well as countless bug fixes. Users from the United States are expected to gain access on Thursday with European users having to wait till next week.
Bethesda announced this information via Twitter saying;
- "1.7 title update for Skyrim expected to release this Thurs. on 360 (worldwide) and PS3 (N. America). PS3 (Europe) release next week."
