Some surprising rumors have been made about the next DLC for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. It appears that one such assertion may carry some weight. Bethesda Forum user Mardoxx has declared that the next DLC will take place in the island of Solstheim, previously featured in The Elder Scrolls III: Bloodmoon, and among other things will include the ability to ride a dragon. This postulation is corroborated by source codes found within the new 1.8 Beta.
These source codes also point to the DLC being titled "Dragonborn". This is substantiated by the fact that Bethesda has filed a trademark for Dragonborn just as it did for Dawnguard and Hearthfire before it. The codes also point to the addition of new armors; Chitin, Bonemold, Nordic, and Stalhrim.
If this evidence is found to be true, then there is a good bit of news for Playstation 3 users; one of the source codes seems to denote the DLC will be heading to Sony's platform. The source code is as follows; "$DOWNLOADABLE CONTENT_PS3 DOWNLOADABLE CONTENT"
According to Mardoxx the DLC will include locations on Solstheim such as; "Raven Rock, Miraak Temple, Castle Karstaag and Telvanni Tower." According to the forum user, he/she has found the compass markers for each these locations as well as the quest header for the "Dragonborn quests".
As of now, Bethesda has yet to confirm or comment on this topic. One must remember that all of these speculations are to be taken as such and not as truths. Thanks goes to Bethesda Forum user Mardoxx, as well as IGN for the reporting of this information ,
- If it is indeed to be the next DLC, what are your thoughts on riding dragons, returning to Solstheim, and the rumored DLC in general?
