So far I have been editing character articles for Skyrim. My first official one, under this name, was Farkas, which was an utter mess of "trivia," with random facts all over the place. It still needs work, but it's getting there. My second was Ysolda, fixing her page since there was a ton of useless "trivia," and some trivia should have been listed as bugs. I also edited her quest page, to which I moved all the mammoth tusk locations, without duplicatin current useful locations. I also fixed things from first to third person. I also did minor edits on Skjor, since some people had issues with him walking around. Speaking of which... the Disable feature is magical.

By the way, third person is actually a requirement. Any edits can't include "you" or "I" because it doesn't found professional. Just because this is a game wikia doesn't mean it lacks importance. In order to sound competent, it needs to stay in third person and be carefully written with clarity and in a concise manner. One thing potential "scribers" should consider first is reading the Good Articles category and checking out the best articles so that they understand what a good article looks like. From there we can make this Wikia truly useful.

One rule of thumb with Trivia: First, make sure it's useful and not duplicate information from another page. For instance, Marriage should not be a header on its own. There is a marriage page already! The page has a full list of all candidates. It also tells players how to go about getting married. So listing how to get married is basically useless. Other things like what happens if they die, such as giving the player an inheritence isn't new either. Just list something small like "This character gives the player an inheritence." Most of the NPCs that the player comes in contact with are more likey to do this. Instead, try to list something unknown, like oddities, such as Farkas' lute alluding to the voice actor.

Maybe one day more contributors will understand, but for now, here's to hoping they'll read the Talk pages on each one!
