Hello everyone, as you know a couple weeks ago I refuted part one of a three part series written by the blogger we hate to love JoshOfBlades (Yeah, I copied that from one of his other blogs, cry me a river). Well, as I said before at the end of it there are two other parts of the series. I will refute part 2 today. So, let's not waste any time.

"Let's begin, as stated in my last post, Ulfric's army is made up of Merc's and general Average Joe's of Skyrim. Now assuming he was able to force out the Legion garrison in Western Skyrim, how long do you think his untrained Rebel Army could hold power? Stormcloak Victory would bring much distress to Skyrim politically and violently, while each side has their ups and downs it can certainly be seen the Stormcloaks have many more downs than my beloved Empire."

And I explained why this is untrue. But I wll say it again. Galmar Stone-Fist specifically explains after you defeat the Ice wraith in the Stormcloak questline that the Stormcloaks only accept strong, dedicated, heroes who are commited to the cause. NOT just "Merc's and general Average Joe's".  "One such down is the blatent racism in their capital of Windhelm. The docks while productive are a sad site for the Argonians who inhabit it and work it for such minimal fees. As you may have noticed many Argonians and Khajiits aren't allowed in cities ruled by the Rebel Leadership, this is unacceptable! Sterotyping is a horrid way to classify, while it is known many Thives and Brigands belong to these races, it should also be noted some of the hardest workers come from their ranks as well, as they are forced to take on jobs for small pay and sweat for only a few Septims."

Oh great, I know this was coming. The classic racism argument, by far the most popular argument against the Stormcloaks. Let's break this down, shall we? Ulfric has no control over how much money the Argonians make. They work for Tobjorn Shatter-Shield, and if you talk to him about it, he'll actually imply that they didn't work as hard as he needed them too. Really? Only under Rebel leadership? Khajiit Caravans aen't allowed in the city by anyone, don't know why you're acting like only the Stormcloaks do this. That's because the Caravan sells drugs, regular Khajiits can enter cities freely, Stormcloak or Imperial. The Argonians can also enter the city, they just don't live in it. There homeless shelter is located on the docks since they work there. It's never been said they can't enter the city at all.

"Another note worthy fact are the Thalmor of the Aldmeri Dominion. Now it is known that Tamriel has always been united under the Empire but also has long been a wanted targer for Akaviri Kingdoms and Raiders. Tamriel's current state is disaturous to say the least. Let's take a deep evaluation province by province."

This whole idea is under the assumption that Empire was the only thing uniting Tamriel and that they could never unite again. Guess what Josh? The Elder Scrolls Online completely proves this theory wrong. Since the Nords, Dunmer & Argonians formed the Ebonheart Pact to originally stop Akaviri invaders, and guess what? There was no Empire.

He then goes on to list the whole the current state of every province in Tamriel, I'm not even going to go over that.

"Okay....... For the sake of not killing my finger's let's just shorten this a bit. Tamriel is in danger people. The less power hungry people we have vying for it the better. Despite your personal belifes on the Worship of Talos or Nord's ability to rule themselves, you must look at the bigger picture. A divided Tamriel is easy pickings for Akavir, and Pyandonea. Those are not the people we need ruling our day to day lives here. With the Empire at the helm in Skyrim we can begin to bring back the glory of Tiber Septim. Please on your adventures do things to help the Empire never hinder it. Tamriel need help and the Legion answers that call everyday."

So it's just basically an overhaul of eveyr point he made, which I refuted above. Just for my final thoughts of this, I already explained before how the Stormcloaks are the best hope for unity in Tamriel, since the Empire has pissed off too many provinces. Stick around for my review of part 3.
