Letter
Edit
I would just go with:
- Letter from <NPC> (Thanks)
- Letter from <NPC> (Reward)
it's the only ones that makes sense really. What do you think? Jimeee (talk) 13:37, April 1, 2013 (UTC)
Birds nest
Edit
It's not really a container are you can only take items out of it - not store them in. That sections should go on some other page I think. Jimeee (talk) 14:15, April 1, 2013 (UTC)
Haskill ID
Edit
Hey Kenny,
Are you sure the Spell ID for Summon Haskill is 00019867? My main question is about the first two digits: generally, I thought they started with xx (replaced by real numbers, of course) if the spell/character/whatever is from a DLC. I thought that the prefix "00" was reserved for the base game. Just checking to make sure on that ;) Kroq-gar78 (talk) 00:03, April 3, 2013 (UTC)

Thanks. It was hard work! I'm betting its the most detailed character page we have - if only they were all like this :p

Re: Captain Metilius
Edit
If you have access to the Creation Kit and you look up his base ID 0001C9F7 tab over to "AI Packages" it shows that he has schedules for what to do when in Castle Dour and also to appear in Castle Dour when the quest MQ103 (Bleak Falls Barrow) is active. So, there is data of him in the CK, but when he is spawned it's not with a unique RefID, so when he appears, it is merely a copy of him. That could be why your friend couldn't find him. Whether he disappears after To Kill an Empire is complete, I don't know. I would have to check in my own game. But if he appears in the game at all without console command intervention, then he cannot be called an "Unused NPC". —TombRaiser SPEAK! 20:47, April 4, 2013 (UTC)
Idesa Sadri
Edit
Hi Kenny, when I took that image of her I placed the Dragonborn to the right of her instead of right in front of her, so she turned her head I quess to look. That's why it looks like she is leaning to the right.. :) :) EbonySkyrim (talk) 08:07, April 5, 2013 (UTC)
Leads
Edit
Hi. If you are doing mass removal of the game from the lead, it's probably a good idea to pad the lead out while you are at it.
For example "Prelate Edhelbor is a Snow Elf." is a poor lead. I suggest moving the location of where they are found or what faction they are part on into the lead - like: "Prelate Edhelbor is a Snow Elf who be found at the Wayshrine of Radiance in the Forgotten Vale"

Erik
Edit
Hello admin.
Please please please stop user Erik The Mad from undoing everybodies damn posts!!...we all try and contribute to the TESWiki best we can only for a control freak with no life to go undoing our work and wasting our little dedictated time, and not just mine but everybodies, look at the amount of pointless edits Erik The Mad has made in the last hour alone??
Nothing but a menace, whats the point of adding and updating this wiki if control freaks like him undo all our work??
Doubt you will listen, but thank you anyway. —This unsigned comment is by 78.147.91.95 (talk • contribs) . Please sign your posts with ~~~~!
- Hello,
- I'm going to post here since nobody really checks the non-account talk pages. His edits you undid which were subsequently undid by him were correct. There is a policy on the Wiki where we remove the game name from articles - in particular, character articles. Furthermore, the content on the Wiki is under the Creative Commons license, which means that it can be edited or distributed without any contributor's consent. Thus, it is said here that do not contribute to the Wiki if you are scared of having your edits ruthlessly and unmercifully edited and changed, which is exactly what is happening here. I will look into Erik's non-lead-related edits for the time being. Kroq-gar78 (talk) 19:45, April 15, 2013 (UTC)
- This ^ I'm very sorry but since we are a wikia, and everybody can edit freely, you're changes can be undone/editted further. This is the way a Wikia or a Wiki works. As far as i know, Erik The Mad hasn't done anything against the rules. I hope this and Kroq's explanation cleared things up for you.
- Ps. thanks for answering Kroq! Kennyannydenny (A question is never stupid, only he who asks it) 19:51, April 15, 2013 (UTC)
- Hi thx for replying, yeah was bit annoyed yesterday. So policy is to remove the 'game name from articles' i cant understand that completely, as i did not mention anything apart from - that taaries body ends up in the hall of dead in solitude? to be honest this may need to be placed under 'trivia' instead of 'bugs' but it was a branch off the 'bug' if you like, so instead of just removing peoples work, eric could have just being more constructive and placed things where they belong, or if it mentions something that shouldnt be mentioned then instead of just undoing everyones dedicated work they should edit it so it complies with wiki's rules? its just total lack of constructiveness on eriks part...really annoying, but as you say, anyone can edit.... thx for replys, if anyone gets to read this, i undid one of my edits again on the taarie page, so if someone could correct what i may have done wrong..instead of just deleting everything, that would be great. cheers guys. —This unsigned comment is by 2.96.112.84 (talk • contribs) . - I had also a case, I didn't remember what it was, but I think it was on Mammoth or something. I didn't care though. Saddex Let me guess, someone stole your sweetroll...
why the rollback on Retrieve the Ancient Nordic Pickaxe
Edit
Hi,
Why you think the content added on 17:20, April 20, 2013 over Retrieve the Ancient Nordic Pickaxe doesn't belong to the topic?
The section I added is a comment on why player should consider not to complete this quest. From what I understand, this counts as walkthrough.
If it doesn't belong here, then where should I put it?
Shilka (talk) 11:23, April 27, 2013 (UTC)
- Well Shilka, in my opinion, why i felt like it was not the place to mention this, is because its a walkthrough to complete the quest. Since your suggestion included not completing the quest, it shouldn't be named under walkthrough. If you really think its worth mentioning, of which i don't, you can place it under a "trivia" section. Not as part of the walkthrough. Kennyannydenny (A question is never stupid, only he who asks it) 19:42, April 27, 2013 (UTC)
- Ok I agree that it could be listed under "trivia". But since one can always complete a mission later if you decide not to complete it now, but you can't undo a completed mission, I think it is necessary to inform/warn player before they saw the guide on how to complete it. And since burden is very important, and some if not many people would consider carrying a pickaxe at all time to deal with random ore vein is a good idea, I would consider the advice on not to complete the quest very important. .Shilka (talk) 15:22, April 28, 2013 (UTC)
- Well then you can add it under a trivia section. Kennyannydenny (A question is never stupid, only he who asks it) 15:57, April 28, 2013 (UTC)

Image Requests
Edit
Hey Kenny it's no problem. Been very busy and haven't had much of a chance to contribute the past few months. I can probably provide requests as necessary now.
I noticed the others had been lingering for several weeks. Glad you liked them. Had been saving the Festus images incase you wanted a different angle or more/less background.

Scholars
Edit
Yeah, that is another category that doesn't add anything. I have noticed Chairmanprescott6179 has been inventing several of these categories - like Skyrim: Artifacts, which is basically the same as Skyrim: Unique Weapons and armor. I'm not online often these days, so someone needs to keep an eye on this. Jimeee (talk) 11:21, May 13, 2013 (UTC)
Re: Morrowind question
Edit
Hello, I think I remember your user name from Dragon Age Wiki, did you ever contribute there?
Chameleon is tricky, because it is a spell effect, a spell, and an ability. If you're looking only for the spell itself, in the Construction Set:
- Go to the Spellmaking tab
- Scroll down to Chameleon - Spell
- Right-click
- Select Info.
You'll see the ID codes of everyone who has the Chameleon spell. It won't be a long list, because a lot of people use variants that include a Chameleon effect.
That's the easy part -- Figuring out everyone who uses Chameleon is tricky and/or tedious, unless you happen to know the names of all the various spells that have a Chameleon effect. That's where a major shortcoming of the CS arises: as far as I know, there's no way to get a list of all the spells that use a particular effect. If you browse through the spell names sometimes you can guess at what it might do. In this case, any spell containing the word "shadow" is a good bet, and possibly other spells containing the word "eye" or "hide." But I only know that from experience, and there's probably a lot that I wouldn't be able to find immediately.
Outside the Construction Set, other possible means of finding spells with a particular effect: 1- The MW spells article, but it is very incomplete. When it gets finished it will be a great resource. 2- Go to the disambig page and see the list of "what links here". 3- uesp lists only the spells that are available for purchase by the player, which is very incomplete and not particularly useful. 4- Carefully formulated Google searches can sometimes help.

Riekling Page
Edit
Shouldn't this page be moved to Riekling (Morrowind) and this page made a disambiguation page, now that Dragonborn is released? Wolfishtail (talk) 18:47, May 25, 2013 (UTC)
- You are correct and i've corrected that. Thanks for noting! Kennyannydenny (A question is never stupid, only he who asks it) 20:31, May 25, 2013 (UTC)
Re: The Skaal Test of Loyalty
Edit
My opinion would then be that it should simply say just that: the quest consists of completing six other quests, so look at those pages for the walkthroughs. The Test of Loyalty page, I would think, should only have the information uniquely relevant to that quest - something like 1) talk to guy, 2) do other quest, 3) talk to guy again - and leave out the list of every step taken in every other quest on the way. Anything else is redundant, and we avoid that in every other case. A 30-step list is by no means "quick," and it's ugly to look at and a pain to use.--LeDaea (talk) 14:59, May 26, 2013 (UTC)
Permission to edit
Edit
Hello there sir, sorry to bother you i would like to make a request: Would you please give me access to edit the special protected pages? like Harkon and Dragonborn's since you are a admin of the wikia. Tesshu (talk) 16:05, May 26, 2013 (UTC)
- I'm sorry but i can't give you these rights. The page Harkon is protected so only Admins can edit that page, because its a high traffic page. So you won't be able to edit that one. If you see something that should be changed, you could always post it on the talk page or on an admin's page. But you can't edit that one yourself.
- Dragonborn is a different scenario: it is protected so that only regular users or staff can edit that page. So users that are not logged in, or that are recently created (as in less than 100 edits if i'm correct) like you, are not able to edit the page. So over time, you will automaticly be able to edit the page Dragonborn, but not the page Harkon. I hope its all clear to you know. Kennyannydenny (A question is never stupid, only he who asks it) 16:19, May 26, 2013 (UTC)
- Thank you for the reply, i understand the reason you can't give me the rights to edit. Tesshu (talk) 16:24, May 26, 2013 (UTC)
User Boxes?
Edit
Hey, sorry if I am bothering you, but I have a question about userboxes. Are they only for certain-ranking people, or would I be able to add some to my page? I just thought they might be useful for collaboration and letting people know what I mainly edit. I just wasn't sure if I was permitted to add any to my profile.
TheInfamousLyingHarlot (talk) 20:48, June 3, 2013 (UTC)
- Hey TILH, everyone is permitted to have userboxes on their user page. They're not restricted to any kind of user :) Kennyannydenny (A question is never stupid, only he who asks it) 20:53, June 3, 2013 (UTC)
- Cool! Thank you for replying so fast! :)

Game in Lead
Edit
Hi Kenny, I asked Jimeee about what to do with this "game in lead" to be or not to be. It is agreed on that it shouldn't be on character articles and it has been removed on some of the templates, but not all. I asked as one member seem to remove it on all articles now and then. There isn't an a agreed standard on which non-character articles it should be removed. He suggested that you, Kroq and Tomb could discuss on a standard as he isn't editing so much at the moment. It would be good I think to try and have a standard on this. :) I'm leaving this message to you all. EbonySkyrim (talk) 17:11, June 13, 2013 (UTC)
The Elder Scrolls Wiki:Vandalism in progress
Edit
I'm not sure how it worked before, but the code is still on the VIP page (QuickCVUAdder), but it's not functional. I have no idea how it works or why it stopped working, but it's been down for a long time now, so people wanting to report vandalism would have to manually edit the "Reports" section and add in the IP address and page via the {{CVU|Example}} template. I had sent Sactage a message about the CVU form not functioning a long time ago, since he set it up, but he never responded. —TombRaiser SPEAK! 17:49, June 17, 2013 (UTC)
- Instead of waiting around any longer for a fix to the CVU form, I just updated the method for reporting. Reporting is just going to have to be done manually. :) —TombRaiser SPEAK! 18:09, June 17, 2013 (UTC)
