Valus Odiil is an Imperial warrior and father of Rallus Odiil and Antus Odiil. He now resides in his home in the southwestern part of Chorrol. The three of them used to live on Odiil Farm until they were chased off by a clan of goblins.
During the quest The Killing Field, Valus tries to get assistance from the local Chorrol guards but he is denied. Later if spoken to he'll ask for the Hero of Kvatch's help clearing out his farm.

Valus Odiil is concerned about his sons, who are going to fight creatures that have been appearing in the woods outside of Chorrol. After speaking with Valus, the Hero has agreed to join them. When they are prepared, one should make their way to Weynon Priory. The unique item, Chillrend, can be acquired if neither son dies.
