Vidkun was a Nord Associate of the Mages Guild, last seen operating out of Cheydinhal. As his friend and fellow magister Deetsan put it, he was "perhaps not the brightest, but very eager."
Biography
However, his apparent lack of intellect frustrated Falcar, the then head of the Cheydinhal guild, who fashioned a ring of Burden and dropped it into the well behind the guild, then instructed Vidkun to go retrieve it, presumably in exchange for a recommendation to the Arcane University.
When Vidkun picked up the ring, it proved too heavy for him to carry back out of the well, and he drowned, leading everyone in the guild, save Falcar, to believe he'd disappeared. His body was later found by the individual who would become the Champion of the Mages Guild, with dire repercussions for the entire Cheydinhal branch.

- In Old Norse the name Vidkun means "wide wise/experienced", ironically the opposite of Vidkun in-game.
