Whiterun Dead Guard is an unmarked location found in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim.

Outside of Whiterun at the base of where Dragonsreach is, the body of a dead guard (Whiterun or Stormcloak) can be found lying on some rocks with "scripted blood" splattered on them. This is most likely the guard that was grabbed and thrown over the walls by the Dragon encountered during The Fallen in the main questline.

Prior to The Fallen, there will be no guard lying on the rocks nor will there be any blood.

Notable itemsEdit

The guard will carry the uniform of whichever faction controlled Whiterun at the time of the quest, (Whiterun or Stormcloak). Other than that the inventory may vary in weapons, and miscellaneous items. Weapons will not go above Steel level however as with majority of Hold Guards.

A little further down from this spot is a ruined pillar and a low-level locked chest that contains random loot.
