Winterhold is a city in the province of Skyrim. It is one of several possible locations that the Eternal Champion may discover in The Elder Scrolls: Arena.

Geography

Winterhold is connected to three settlements. To the south is Amol, to the west is Dawnstar, and east-southeast is Helarchen Creek.

Quests

Main article: Labyrinthian (Arena Quest)

After the Eternal Champion had retrieved the first piece of the Staff of Chaos in Fang Lair. Ria Silmane will contact the champion and point them to the city of Winterhold in Skyrim. Thelen Kaarn offers the champion a proposition where if they can retrieve a missing tablet in the Fortress of Ice, then shows them where the piece of the staff is located. After finding the tablet, Kaarn points the champion to the Labyrinthian.

Trivia

• In earlier development, Arena was going to be a tournament-based game where each city had their own gladiatorial team. Winterhold's team was known as the Annihilators.
