Worn Shrouded Armor is a set of light armor that appears in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. It is similar to the traditional Shrouded Armor worn by Dark Brotherhood assassins but possesses no enchantments on any of its pieces.
Craftsmanship
The armor looks exactly like the Shrouded Armor. It is red and black, with many straps and buckles running down the chest and across the waist. Unlike the traditional Shrouded Armor, the Worn Shrouded Cowl does not have a maskless variant. It has exactly the same defense as the normal shrouded armor.
Acquisition
The armor can be found in the Dawnstar Sanctuary once the Brotherhood is joined.
Smithing
Unlike the regular Shrouded Armor, the Worn Shrouded Armor cannot be improved at a workbench, regardless of perks chosen.

Usefulness
The lack of enchantments can make the armor ideal for personal customization. For example, it can be enchanted with enchantments that benefit a Warrior or Mage, making this set of armor more useful to those archetypes than the regular armor, which mostly benefits skills under the Thief archetype.
Bugs
This section contains bugs related to Worn Shrouded Armor. Before adding a bug to this list, consider the following:
|
- The cowl doesn't always work for Argonians or Khajiit; it may show as invisible. When this occurs, a circlet and a Falmer Helmet may be equipped after the cowl. This may further allow the wearing of a circlet with any other helmet if the helmet is equipped last.
- Sometimes the armor does not show up in the inventory but you gain carry weight (it is unknown how to fix this). The gloves and boots found in the bedroom bought from Delvin may be more likely to cause this bug than the full set at the bottom of the stairs.
- This is less a bug than a placing error, but as there is no way to correct it on the console versions it should still be counted as a bug. The error arose from a non-playable version of the armor being placed in the Dawnstar Sanctuary, and on the PC version these items can be removed from the inventory with the remove.item command (the correct IDs for the non-playable versions are 00105966, 00105967, 00105968, and 00105969).
